Sauce Bechamel
Sauce Bechamel. In its purest form, béchamel is comprised of butter and flour that have been cooked together (a mixture that's also known as a roux) and milk, with just a bit of seasoning. The Mornay, Soubise, Nantua and More.
Continue to cook the mixture until thick and creamy. It can be served alone, as a sauce served with fish or asparagus, or be a part of more complex dishes like lasagna or make a base for other sauces like cheese sauce or alfredo sauce. Add the butter and onion to a large saucepan over medium heat.
On peut aussi ajouter à la sauce béchamel une pincée de piment de Cayenne et un peu de noix de muscade râpée pour rendre son goût plus intéressant.
Once called by Artusi "Balsamella", it is one of the basic sauces of Italian cuisine.
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Top with more shredded cheese and bake in the oven until the top is bubbly and brown. Bechamel Sauce is one of my favorites.
