Creme Anglaise
Creme Anglaise. It is a mix of sugar, egg yolks, and hot milk usually flavoured with vanilla. Crème anglaise (French for "English cream"), custard sauce, pouring custard, or simply custard is a light, sweetened pouring custard used as a dessert cream or sauce.
Gradually add egg yolk mixture back to remaining milk mixture, whisking constantly. I put it in a shallow dish upon which I put a round of lemon cake filled with raspberry and lemon (separately) curd between layers. Crème anglaise fine. crème anglaise micro-onde.
